Senate
Operational matters are dealt with by the Senate. The Senate comprises of the Campus Dean, the Registrar, the Higher Certificate Coordinator, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Heads of Schools, the Head of Production Course, the Operations Manager and a student representative. The Senate is responsible for formulating and passing policies and procedures on all matters where the different departments intersect. The Senate meets once a quarter.
Academic Standards Council
The Academic Standards Council (ASC) deals with academic matters. The ASC meets once a quarter. ASC assure the quality of the curriculum framework implemented by the Campus Dean. Content of the curriculum framework IS developed by the academic staff within the Senate. The ASC proposes policy development on academic matters to the Senate. Ratified academic policies form part of the institution’s Course Guidelines or Institutional Policy Document (IPD). The ASC also meets annually after the end of the Graduation Festival (Film and Theatre Festival) to analyze the Critics’ Panel and Audience Response results and identify curriculum trends.
