Hidden Scars]


Hidden Scars is a social drama film. A graduation film written and produced by a team of 13 AWIL alumni's who graduated with an Honours Degree in Motion Picture Medium.

Hidden scars is a microcosm of the hard truth and unfiltered reality in modern Botswana, behind doors of a seemingly normal households, a young girl is violated and impregnated by a man perceived to be the head of the household.

The film has been screened at Namibia Arts Fair, at Goethe institute, Windhoek, Namibia. The Arts fair is a platform for Namibian and international artists to be able to sell their artwork, in order to promote a sustainable arts development through the use if education programs and engagement of the artist and artwork.

It also screened at Botswana National Youth council film festival (BNYC Film Festival) held at the University of Botswana. The film festival is an initiative by the government to build and promote the creative arts industry in Botswana.
